IT Business Relationship Manager (Back Office).

Background: This IT Department is part of the Global Information Services function. The department manages and supports a portfolio of business solutions including SAP ERP and Siebel CRM. Most applications run on Wintel servers hosted in my clients own data centre and work with a number of local and global partners to deliver services such as ERP hosting, WAN and Service Desk.
Purpose: The role, reporting to the IT Manager, is a key manager leading a team of 4 in a busy IT Department of 12. The role is the key partnership role between the IT department and the support functions in the company. Responsibility also includes the development and support of many of the company’s most important business systems.
� Lead effective business partnering relationships between the Back Office Functions (Finance, Logistics, Operations, HR and Analytics) and the IT department
� Operate as the key primary IT point of contact to business line leadership, representing IT in its services and capabilities
� Act as the business partnering interface with Functional Management Teams with the purpose of defining opportunities, identifying and prioritizing projects and initiatives as well as solution discovery to meet business needs
� Foster a strong team environment and lead the back office IT team of 4 direct reports covering support and development of SAP, in house developed applications, 3rd party applications and license management
� Lead and deliver successful management of scaled IT projects identified for the business
� Translate requirements into functional specifications for business sign-off and convert into technical specifications for IT Technical specialists to implement
Application Support Management
� Provide an effective support service for Back Office business systems
� Identification and implementation of remedial actions
� Monitoring of support statistics to ensure and monitor customer satisfaction
� Identification, recommendation and implementation of support process improvements and efficiencies
� Management of contracts with 3rd party software suppliers
� Manage the budget for the Back Office team including operational running costs and project costs
� Preparing annual budgets, latest estimates and actual spend reporting
� Manage all software maintenance agreements
Knowledge and Experience
� A computer science degree or equivalent third level qualification in a related discipline with a minimum of in 5+ years in a similar role
� Proven strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills
� A minimum of 5 years’ experience of SAP ERP business system
� Excellent knowledge of Business Intelligence & and data warehouse technology (MS SQL Server BI platform and VB.Net)
� Be pro-active and anticipatory in thinking style with ability to understand customer needs and business priorities
� A clear understanding of Business Processes, how they integrate across business functions and how they are supported by IT solutions
� A proven track record of successful management of IT projects
� Understanding and passion for digital technology is a plus
