Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. They are now looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their team.

In this exciting role, you’ll have the chance to operate at the forefront of testing and help to drive new products for an international business.

As a Software Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, creating, implementing and reviewing software test plans, test cases and results reports.

Joining a talented team, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the quality, functionality, reliability and usability of products.

You’ll assist with test strategy development, as well as designing and developing comprehensive test plans with differing software design methodologies. Additionally, you’ll create, locate and acquire data for testing assignments.

Your other duties will involve:

- Ensuring that systems are tested to the highest standards
- Performing test case execution and analysis reporting
- Working in cross-platform environments (Unix/Linux and Windows)
- Creating, executing and recording the results of test cases
- Identifying and recording software defects within a problem-tracking system

To be considered, you must have a degree (or equivalent) in a computer related discipline OR at least two years’ industrial IT and/or software experience.

The following, gained within your studies, a commercial environment, or similar, is also essential:

- Experience of using an issue/problem reporting tool
- Demonstrable software testing expertise
- Knowledge of software testing processes and testing methodologies, such as V-Model, Waterfall and Agile

Organised and eager to learn, as a Software Test Engineer, you must have excellent problem-solving, prioritisation and troubleshooting skills. You must also be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
