IT Cloud Infrastructure Architect
SUMMARY:
- Developing & governing IT Infrastructure roadmap regionally as well as for major ITS programs
- Building relationships to key external suppliers to promote partnership based working
- Advising business partners (like ADM partners, Project managers, etc. ) on IT Infrastructure roadmap including technology roadmap
- Assisting service owners in order to develop and keep their services up to date
- Influencing & providing consultancy to ensure ADM (Application Development & Maintenance) are design with fit for purpose infrastructure
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and lead activities in the scope of 2 or more Infrastructure technologies within ITS Architecture
- Maintains knowledge of IT Infrastructure strategy & architecture, standards and practices and consistently applies these standards
- Defines, develops, documents & maintains IT Infrastructure architecture by continually evaluating trends in technology, industry & business needs
- Drive & define IT Infrastructure architecture , technical solutions and global IT standards as well as practices for IT Infrastructure in the realms of specializations
- Provides consultation & direction on IT Infrastructure strategy & architecture to various stakeholders including internal & external service providers as applicable
- Ensures a close alignment of the ITS architecture and technical assurance function in terms of IT Infrastructure architecture, roadmap, standards, etc.
- Has in-depth of knowledge in given assigned technology areas or topics
- Maintains understanding of the functionality and the use of the IT application portfolio for specific business functions
- Actively communicates and promotes the IT Infrastructure strategy & architecture
- Leads strategic partnerships for technology and enterprise-wide solution adaption
- Provides architectural design approval and ensures that IT Infrastructure architectural standards and practices are followed through project and program involvement
- Provides formal and informal leadership and direction to other architects and ITS personnel, particularly in the areas of specialization.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience is required.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 3+ years on projects of a program, with proven track record of successful delivery
- Line / people management experience is desirable
- Executive stakeholder skills with proven capability of building & managing relationships
- Experience in major information management programs in key business areas for banks, insurance companies and/or investment banks
- Solid experience in working in matrixed environments and diverse global stakeholder networks
KNOWLEDGE:
- English: Able to participate in and facilitate discussions with complex content. Composes reports with almost no grammatical errors and can communicate proficiently.
- Financial services domain knowledge, including expertise at the intersection of risk, finance and customer domains
- Business Application usage
- Solid understanding of Group’s overall strategy and direction and appropriate governance processes
TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Holistic infrastructure architecture capable of providing an integrated vision of all infrastructure technologies.
- Strong Knowledge of cloud (private and public, azure, aws)
- Strong knowledge of linux and windows
- Strong Knowledge of virtualized compute platforms (x86 mainly)
- Strong Knowledge of virtualized storage platforms
- Knowledge of middleware (DBMS, ESB, Web Server)
- Knowledge of devops implementation (infrastructure point of view)
- Understanding of network (mainly load balancing)
- Understanding of VDI and workplace infrastructure
- Preferential knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish (not mandatory)
- Capability to work in a virtual team, autonomy and following global standards
- Capability of sharing and presenting knowledge
- Capability of communication to wide range of stakeholders (from CxO to builders)
- Availability for frequent travelling
