Executive Level role - Director or AVP (Assistant Vice President) level
Multinational Organisation, with the operation in Ireland focussed on software development and the delivery of innovative software solutions that supports the business globally, your role will be focussed on providing vision, leadership and direction to the core Software Group for a Major Global Business Division. This a strategic, executive level role with succession planning into the No.1 position within the Ireland operation.
With a focus on delivering high-quality, internally developed software systems that underpins a multi-million dollar business, your main responsibilities will include:
* Strategic leadership of the Ireland operation, which comprises software development, business and operational units
* Leading multi-regional software development teams in locations across Europe, Asia & US
* Be a key member of the Global Technology Leadership team
* Vision, planning and leadership of the development of a group of enterprise software solutions used globally throughout the organisation, both internally & externally
* Provide direction & leadership of an innovative Software Development Division, which utilises leading-edge technologies and which supports $100's millions of new business annually
* Assist in defining the strategic & technology roadmap within the group organisation
* Demonstrate the passion, energy and motivational qualities necessary to direct a Software Technology enterprise, with the proven ability to lead a Software Development Organisation capable of delivering innovative solutions to global business units, external business partner networks and ultimately, the global client base
* Build excellent relationships and partnerships with Executive, Technology and Business Stakeholders in US & Europe
Reporting into the VP of Software / Managing Director, your role will focus on managing over 75+ resources (software development, Technical Architecture, Business Specialists) in the development / engineering of enterprise software systems deployed globally within the organisation and throughout the business partner network.
Ideally you will have worked in global software companies previously and possess significant expertise in leading and enterprise software development organisation. You must also be customer and delivery focussed with a penchant for innovation, technology leadership & business strategy.
Experience Required
* Director or Executive Level Leadership experience of a Software Development operation and related business activities on a global or international basis
* Excellent Leadership, motivational & relationship management abilities
* Proved expertise in designing & executing strategy with Technology & Business Leaders
* Strong technology leadership expertise, ideally within Agile Software Development environments
* Must have previous international enterprise background
* Proven expertise in the design & delivery of a Technology Roadmap within a software focussed operation
* Key Stakeholder Relationship building & management abilities
* Expertise in the planning, development and delivery of enterprise software solutions working with Enterprise Architecture, Software Architecture, Software Development and Data Solutions Groups
* Proven experience in successfully leading and steering an enterprise software development group
* Proven ability to lead and manage multiple teams of highly skilled software engineers, architects, technology and related business teams
* Proven ability to manage operating expenses within global budgets
* Programme management skills
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills
* Excellent leading, management & coaching of high performance technology teams
* Innovative, creative and driven personality traits
Salary : Commensurate with Experience + benefits package for Executive level.
