My client is a leading, independently minded provider of trust, fund and corporate services, operating in 14 strategic locations worldwide. Due to expansion they have an exciting new opportunity in our Dublin office, and are seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Networking Lead to join our Group Technology Services team. They have an exciting new opportunity in their Dublin office for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Group Technology Services team. Focusing on the support and development of business applications and databases (including project support and innovation), the ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, a good command of our business processes, and will develop creative technology and systems solutions to meet critical business requirements.

This position requires strategic thinking and hands-on technical delivery. The ideal candidate is an experienced business analyst with a proven track record in managing mission-critical services and applications. They will be a key player in driving the development and support of business applications and will report to the Support Lead within our Group Technology Services team.

It is preferred that you have experience in development and support of CRM and ERP management, Microsoft SharePoint and SQL.

Main responsibilities:

• CRM application development, engaging with the business and understanding their needs through report creation and assuring quality on future system releases
• Working with key senior stakeholders and architects to scope the shape of initiatives, define process change, document low-level functional design and own the stakeholder relationship to deliver these tasks
• Support IT applications, including the assessment of functional needs, to determine specifications and solutions
• Lead systems projects that are complex in nature, including gathering systems requirements, leading implementation and ongoing development and training efforts
• Acting as the bridge between the business and technical teams
• Providing input into the production of technical design, ensuring technical specifications deliver the required functionality
• Attending key governance routines and providing design and technical input into key project meetings
• Ensuring compliance with PMO, programme and project standards as needed (i.e. Project Lifecycle steps)
• Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing technology environment and how new technologies can positively impact the group.
• Proactively document processes and procedures to support a high standard of service
• Participate as required in out-of-hours support and upgrade activities and responsibilities
• Continuously develop both self and team members on relevant advances in technology
• Liaise with third party suppliers to ensure the optimal delivery and support of solutions
• Ensure relevant regulatory requirements, operational processes and operational controls are built into delivered technical designs
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies, procedures and agreed operational and control processes
• Influence feature design, architecture, standards and processes to ensure security, performance, operability and scalability
• Identify gaps in current technology and processes and recommend improvements
• Collaborate in depth with peers in development and program management

Key skills and experience:

• Significant experience as a business analyst
• Knowledge of programming procedures and programming languages including Visual Basic, Javascript and SQL
• Knowledge of IIS and web technologies
• Experience and outstanding knowledge in a core discipline of ERP or CRM management
• Proven experience within the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and development best practices
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Programming skills beneficial
• Database skills: SQL, MYSQL, SQL Server
• Web skills: SharePoint 2010 / 2013, HTML / CSS (HTML5 experience preferred)
• Reporting skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (complex macros experience preferred)
• Microsoft Dynamics experience
• Degree or appropriate equivalent in a computing discipline
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment (agile experience would be beneficial)
