Build Engineer

Our client is looking for an outstanding engineer who likes using the right tool for the right job.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a heavily used source code repository and perform merging and branching when required
• Maintain release management tools, develop code management policies and processes
• Have a strong ownership of the product test infrastructure and aim to constantly improve it
• Have excellent communication and diplomatic skills to influence other stakeholders in the code development process

Requirements:

• You must be clearly eligible to live and work in Ireland on application
• Bachelor degree in CompSci, Engineering or a related discipline
• At least five years relevant industry experience
• Experience of one or more of the following: bash, Perl, python or some other widely used scripting language
• The ability to read and understand C++ and Java
• Knowledge of branching, merging and release management systems with experience of preferably SVN
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as Xen/KVM, VMware or Docker is an advantage
