Requirements
Educational qualifications
Third level qualification in an IT related field with possibly some further information security or data protection education.
Candidates will hold certification in one or some of, the following or equivalent
- Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (PDP)
- Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E)
- Certified Information Privacy Technologies (CIPT)
- Association of Compliance Officers Ireland (ACOI)
- Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information System Manager (CISM)
Technical expertise
Experience in security issues of information technologies and data protection issues / legislation Experience as team leader or project leader for complex projects
In-depth knowledge of EU and Irish data protection legislation
Previous experience conducting compliance or information security audits
Experience interviewing business stakeholders and analysing data inventories and workflows
Other specific expertise
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and manage relationships
- Ability to work off own initiative Innovative thinker with strong organisational skills
- Ability to write high level and detailed technical reports
- Organised and structured approach to work with an ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
