Espion seeks Ethical Hackers and Penetration Testers at all levels for client facing roles who can provide consultancy in the following areas: internal and external network / infrastructure penetration testing and application penetration testing.

These roles can be based in Dublin or the UK (Paddington or Milton Keynes) and we have vacancies at all levels.

The successful candidates will primarily be working in the areas of:

  • Application penetration testing
  • Internal & External Network & infrastructure penetration testing
  • Secure application development lifecycle
  • You will be expected to have some experience in some or all of the above areas and will wish to further your career in this area.

You’ll need to have a passion for this area and understand what it means to use ethical hacking skills to help organisations protect their systems and information assets.  You could be responsible for trying to break the most advanced defences in the world working with the best in your field across industries and sectors.

You’ll need an enquiring mind, the tenacity to overcome technical challenges, and an ability to approach problems from different perspectives. 

Depending on the role level sought, candidates will have varying degrees of experience in network and / or application penetration testing. An understanding or practical experience in the following shall be considered essential:

  • Application penetration testing
  • Network / infrastructure penetration testing
  • OWASP
  • BURP or equivalent
  • Secure application development

CREST or OSCP/OSCE certifications or equivalent are preferable but there will be opportunity to complete these certifications as part of Espion’s sponsored Learning and Development programme.  

Further opportunities to complete relevant professional certifications are available as  part of the Learning and Development programme in addition to continued in-house training  provided by colleagues and senior consultants as required.

Candidates should hold a third level qualification in an IT related field

Candidates must be articulate in both written and verbal communication, have a demonstrable experience working in a stand-alone role (specifically customer facing) and have a strong ability to produce well-written and well-presented reports/documentation in the English language.

These roles are consultancy based, so candidates should have the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and advise on best practice.

The positions will require some travel within UK and may also require some European travel from time to time. Candidates must have a valid work visa.
