Our client, a leading insurance provider based in Dublin south have an excellent IT job opportunity for a .Net Developer to join their team. You will be working in an innovative environment and the successful candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in C# .Net development. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global Financial Services company in a very significant Dublin based technology hub.
AS A .NET CONSULTANT YOU WILL PLAY A KEY ROLE IN THE IT DEPARTMENT WITH RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING:
• Complete software development tasks in accordance to IT Standards.
• Performance quality system testing.
• Preparation and maintenance of system documentation (for possible external audit).
• Keeping up to date on new technologies and cross training as required.
• Lead development in the design & delivery of .NET based solutions
• Working on cross functional project teams to implement complex software led business solutions.
• Deliver enhancements to existing software solutions
• Support the Business with technical issues.
• Work in Business Change led, cross-functional teams.
• Liaising with business users and IT Staff to determine detailed requirements.
• Open to change and working as part of a Change Programme
• Deliver enhancements to existing software solutions
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
• 3 years of .Net experience in a .Net role
• Strong understanding of OO Technologies (.NET Frameworks 2.0 & 4.0, IIS, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, jQuery)
• Mobile Apps (HTML5, Node.js)
• Strong SQL Server knowledge (SQL Server 2008, 2012)
• Knowledge of application design, WPF & MVC an advantage
• Willingness to adopt skills to apply to other platforms (Java, Tomcat)
• Willingness to evaluate and develop other technical skills (outside of .NET based skills)
• Experience of Business Analysis
• General Insurance Industry knowledge and distinct advantage
• Knowledge of iSeries architecture an advantage
• Understanding of IDM an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and administration skills are essential.
• Be focused on quality and attention to detail
• Have the ability to work on own initiative and as a team player
• Proven experience of working to Service Level Agreements
• Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non IT stakeholders
