This is an excellent Dublin based IT Job opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our global client’s innovation lab based in Dublin City Centre. You will have a strong mix of functional analysis and technical skills in big data. Ideally you will have experience with the Hadoop ecosystem are alternatively other large NoSQL environments. Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the Optum Innovation Lab’s data pipeline including ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and aggregation of data
• Work with business owners to fully understand how data drives business issues and opportunities
• Develop business intelligence/ reporting solutions as defined in technical specifications
• Analyse business intelligence requirements (e.g, internal/ external data feeds, systems, databases, “sources of truth”)
• Architect/ design data management processes and capabilities (e.g. Governance, archiving, metadata, master data, data modelling, data quality)
• Develop specifications to support data management processes and capabilities (e.g. governance, archiving, metadata, master data, data
• modelling, data quality)
• Support successful project execution
• Plan and manage assignments of varying scope
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the qualifications listed in this posting:
Required Qualifications:
• Strong experience working as a Business Analyst in a large, complex organization
• Considerable experience with relational databases
• Proven experience with Hadoop-based technologies like MapReduce, Hive, and Pig
• Significant experience creating advanced SQL queries including SQL based technologies like PostgresSQL and MySQL
• Strong experience communicating with senior level business leaders and stakeholders
• Demonstrated data experience working with large datasets/ big data
• Significant of data analysis (profiling) experience4
• Significant of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors and/or Master’s degree
• Experience analysing and manipulating unstructured data
• NoSQL experience with Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.
• Experience with Agile/ Scrum
• Experience working in a consulting capacity or consulting organization
• Experience with other Business Intelligence Tools like Cognos, SAS or TOAD
• Experience in data profiling and data analysis
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
