Our Client is an Irish Software Company based in Limerick who are currently expanding their development team. They have an opening for two experienced Software Developers with current experience working on Java based projects.
The Company are looking for people who are passionate about the projects they are working on and who enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities of the position of Java Developer:
- Provide assistance in producing new products and supporting existing ones.
- Development of high quality client / server applications in a Windows / UNIX environment.
- Design and development of new products / components utilising Agile Methodologies.
- Assist with component design and progress through to development, testing, validation documentation and delivery.
Experience and Technical Requirements:
- Candidate should be highly analytical and technologically minded, with strong problem solving skills and willing to work as part of a team.
- Develop creative solutions for complex abstract problems.
- Gathering and documenting user requirements, analysing data and conducting unit, system, performance and quality assurance testing.
- Experience in Java, Grails, Web Services and Java Script and user interface technologies.
- Hands on experience in Java, JavaScript, Oracle PL / SQL, Groovy, AJAX, JSON, Struts, FLEX, Design Patterns, any mainstream application server e.g. Tomcat / Weblogic / JBoss.
- Familiarity with UNIX commands and scripting and test tools, SED, AWK, Aspect-J, JUnit.
- Experience with the build and automation tools e.g. Maven, ANT etc.
- Experience working with JSP, EJB, REST, Hibernate and database technologies.
- Providing technical and creative input into product development
