Web Developer

Reporting to Online Sales Manager, to provide efficient, prompt, and outstanding service to all of Staycity’s stakeholders. To promote a positive image of the IT department to all stakeholders being, friendly and efficient the ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Java Script and be familiar with visual tools and wireframes.  Familiarity with PHP is an advantage.

As a team member, the successful candidate should take a proactive approach in communicating with team members and be willing to offer assistance or share knowledge with teammates when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Working with business analysts and internal teams to ensure that features are being developed and supported with wireframes and other visual supports
• Prototype development - HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
• Designing and developing system application UIs based on current trends, using efficient, secure and clear code, following industry and company standards
• Improving overall user experience on company products
• Working closely with the technology, testing, requirements and product teams involved in the frontend development process
• Working on mobile, tablet and desktop solutions

• To attend and prepare for weekly/monthly update meetings at with key team (IT Director, CEO. COO and colleagues)
• Demonstrate strong communication skills

Job Specifications: 

• Responsive design
• Wordpress, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, including designing AJAX driven dynamic applications, PHP
• UX/UI focussed
• Strong knowledge of jQuery or/and Angulars JS
• Strong knowledge of bootstrap or other CSS framework

• Experience with design tools and creative skills preferred

• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• 4 years’ experience in similar roles
