Our client are Global Insurers and they are looking for a Java Developer to join their IT team in Dublin.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include but will not necessarily be limited to the following:

• Assess, plan and implement day-to-day production support requests in a complex technical
environment
• Work on the development and delivery of various project requirements for the company’s public
and secured websites as well as the internal staff intranet
• Define quality and robust technical solutions based upon agreed business requirements
• Prepare and apply software releases between development, test and production environments

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of development experience in Java/ J2EE technologies
• Proficient in object-oriented design and programming
• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Excellent customer focus, with proven service delivery and production support experience
• Experience with deployment and administration of J2EE Application Servers and Frameworks
• Knowledge of insurance/banking technology system an advantage

Desirables:

• Java: JSP, Struts 1&2, Servlets, Javascript, CSS
• Application Servers: IBM WebSphere v6
• Databases: Oracle, JDO, Hibernate, iBatis, myBatis
• Frameworks: Bootstrap, AJAX, JQuery, Sitemesh, Freemarker
• XML: Web-Services, SOAP, XML-Schema, XSLT, xPath, FOP
• Middleware: IBM MQ Series
• Build Tools: jUnit, maven, svn
• Other: iSeries
