Technical Support Engineer
The Role
Our client is expanding its Technical Support team and is looking for enthusiastic, experienced network support engineer with Linux experience. You will be expected to be able to perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis of customer problems and take pride in finding issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Deep knowledge of Linux & TCP/IP Networking
• Enterprise software support (Level II) for our client’s worldwide customer base
• Issue replication for resolution
• Clear communication to customers, engineering and QA
• Occasional out of hours support required on an agreed rota
Requirements
• You must be eligible to live and work in the EU on application
• At least two years’ experience of providing network/Linux support
• Excellent written and spoke English
• CCNA or CCNP is a bonus
• Some experience with perl, python or bash
• Experience using defect tracking/trouble ticketing tools
• You should hold a Bachelors Degree in IT, CompSci or a related discipline
