System / Windows Deployment Engineer - SCCM, SCVMM, Hyper-V

A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a System / Windows Deployment Engineer to join our client, a pioneering provider of vehicle management systems.

As a System / Windows Deployment Engineer, you’ll be tasked with helping to facilitate the standardisation and deployment of our client’s award winning SaaS application.

Joining a team of experienced System Engineers, you’ll assist with the end-to-end build out of the SCCM and SCVMM 2012 R2 environment. You’ll develop and maintain automation scripts, as well as creating standard templates for all virtual guests.

Your other duties will involve:

- Developing QA processes for new environments
- Maintaining documentation for template specs and environment set-ups
- Introducing build automation for new Windows and Linux server environments
- Managing the automation of deployments and bare metal installations

To be considered, you must have:

- At least three years’ professional Windows or Linux administration experience
- At a minimum, three years’ experience of installing, operating and maintaining SCCM, SCVMM and Hyper-V
- Experience of working on Linux operating systems, specifically Red Hat or CentOS
- Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012 R2 and Active Directory experience
- Experience of diagnosing and troubleshooting operating system issues
- Excellent scripting knowledge in Powershell or Bash
- Strong working knowledge of system centre and all ancillary services, such as WSUS
- A good understanding of all aspects of TCP/IP, IPV4 and DNS

Analytical and methodical, as a System / Windows Deployment Engineer, you must be an adept problem-solver who approaches new challenges with enthusiasm.
