IT Support Engineer Role:

Invistech is looking to hire an IT Support Engineers to join our team in Limerick & Cork. Reporting to the management team, the IT Support Engineer will be involved in managing the demanding IT needs of a SME & Corporate companies. The successful candidates will join the team that nurtures and cares for the network and Internet infrastructure as well as providing build management support for the development team and technical support for our clients.

IT Support Engineers Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • On Site and Off Site Support and Installations of Hardware and Network equipment
  • Point of contact to provide support to customer’s needs
  • Respond to clients calls and analyse and resolve faults
  • Analyse and resolve faults - from major system crashes to forgotten passwords
  • Prioritize, update, respond to and escalate support tickets
  • Monitoring and maintaining remote servers and respond to critical alerts
  • Firewall and Router Support
  • Work closely with other IT staff and engineers and customers
  • Carry out routine security checks and undertake preventative measures to maintain network security

Skill Set

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Windows OS, Exchange Server,  and TCP/IP.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT security, networking protocols, software and hardware devices, firewall and VPN configuration, remote access, backups, content filtering, malware and virus protection
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to correctly and assertively prioritise work, handle a range of different concurrent issues and handle user enquiries efficiently.
  • Experience of Virtualization technologies
