Overview:
Our Client has a requirement for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer for a 2 Month Contract. This is a new position and is a direct result of the company’s success in the market.
If you are available to start a position immediately or within 1 week and you have the required experience we would be delighted to speak with you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Resolving day to day user issues (Profile, Email and Application).
• Setting up and managing user profiles using Active Directory and Exchange.
• Fixing any hardware issues with users PC’s/Laptops.
• Updating anti-virus definitions and Windows updates
• Providing training to new users.
• Additional projects as required such as preparing system and user documentation and testing.
Technical Requirements & Experience:
• 2 - 3 years practical experience in providing technical support to enterprise customers or software customers.
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft (Windows Server 2003 -2012, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory).
• Setup, operation and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networking.
• An excellent attitude and the ability to interact with people in a professional manner are required.
• Must possess good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use judgment in providing technical assistance.
Certifications Required:
• Minimum MCP required, an MCSA Advantageous.
