Exactest are currently building a test team for an exciting two year programme with one of our prestigious clients. We have an immediate requirement for a contract Test Analyst Consultant (day rate) and are currently accepting applications for consideration.

Of particular interest are candidates with financial product testing experience including financial calculations such as Capital Gains Tax, Death Benefits, Currency Conversions and wider Life and Pensions products experience front and backend testing.

For those wishing to transition from permanent to contact work, notice period can be accommodated

Responsibilities
• Develop an effective working relationship with the business, developers and operational support areas
• Analyse requirements and design test cases and test coverage matrix
• Workshop test case review and approvals
• Perform test execution in a methodical and calculated manner, recording results and capturing test evidence
• Define and prepare test data sets
• Proactive defect reporting and issue resolution

Core Skills
• Well versed in a variety of testing techniques and test approaches
• Testing of financial services products - mathematical formula application
• SQL, SOAPUI and .NET, SQL Server, Mainframe experience
• SmartBear QAComplete or equivalent test management test tool suite
• Experience testing in Life and Pensions/Banking/Trading Platforms applications
• Previous experience testing data migration projects welcome
• A meticulous & thorough approach to work
• Financial Services/Life Assurance/Pensions/Trading/Banking
• Previous test consultancy beneficial
• A minimum of 4 years software testing experience on complex IT projects
• IT/Computer Science Degree
• ISEB/ISTQB certification
