itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Data Scientist. This is a daily-rate contract position located with our client in Dublin.
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Data scientist/Data Analyst to support their development on modernizing their legacy data platform as part of their Modern Data Platform Project.
The objective will be to work with business stakeholders and data engineering team to perform detailed analysis on all data systems and passenger processing points within Airfield & Terminal Operations and Security Operations. There are several underlying data systems across Operations and Security so advanced analytics and data science skills will be required before onboarding data from source systems. The data scientist/analyst will perform data discovery, data analysis, data modelling, defining metrics and KPIs, building data pipelines and building predictive models to help with simulations and optimisations. The ultimate goal will be to deliver reports, dashboards and models to end business users to provide insights, metrics and KPIs for Airfield & Terminal Operations and Security Operations.
Required:
Have at least 3+ years’ experience in a senior data analytics role, preferably dealing with large diverse complex types of data - customer, transactional, operational, etc.
Expert knowledge of advanced analytics techniques (e.g., Predictive Modelling, Segmentations, Analytical Deep Dives, etc.)
Expert knowledge of advanced analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS, SQL, etc.)
Ability to communicate and explain complex technical concepts and quantitative methods to a non-technical audience
Solid understanding of data warehouse and BI architecture
ETL programming skills, including experience with large code bases, complex data structures, and a variety of BI development tools
Knowledge of advanced visualisation techniques, reporting tools and analytical deep dives. e.g., Targit, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
Preferable
Aviation/Airfield analytics experience
Data Warehouse Dimension/Relational modelling and Cube development skills
Microsoft Azure cloud experience
Microsoft Technology stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
Experience of Oracle Technologies an advantage
Experience of development, delivery & project management methodologies (Preferably Agile)
Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
