Head of Engineering

I'm working with one of our long term clients in Dublin City Centre who are looking to hire an experienced Head of Engineering to lead multiple teams across their product and delivery departments.

Overall you'll lead around 50 engineers and be responsible for guiding the technical work in a number of crucial projects my client has in the pipeline. It's a crucial time for them with a lot of work needing to be done on how they structure the processes of their engineering and delivery pipelines. You'll need to be someone who's comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to cope with requirements which can change on a weekly basis.

Stakeholder management will be crucial. You'll report directly to the CTO but also regularly be in touch with other C level managers and leaders on the marketing side of the business. The role isn't likely to involve any hands on work but a strong software engineering background will be required in order to help guide engineers down the right path if any issues arise.

Two other big positives would be someone who has experience working in a regulated company and someone who has experience being heavily involved at the early stages of a start-up. The experience of having to wear multiple hats and covering a broad range of areas would be massively beneficial to this role.

The tech stack is really broad so there's no specific background required here. But any software engineering experience in Java, .Net and PHP fits well.
