eir evo are currently recruiting for a Red Hat Openshift Professional Services Consultant to join our team!
As an eir evo Red Hat Openshift Professional Services consultant you will design and deploy Redhat Openshift solutions for our customers. This will include Proof of Concepts and demonstration of the technology and benefits to the customers infrastructure and development teams. You will also support the customer in their adoption of the platform to support agile methodology, and CI/CD development operations.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Analyse virtualisation solutions and develop solutions and migration methodology to Red Hat OpenShift
- Implementation of Red Hat Openshift including , verification testing , application migration to CI/CD
- SME on Containers, Kubernetes and Virtualization technologies using OpenShift, VMWare, OpenStack, RHV, CloudVM and VM infrastructure modernization.
- Source and identify assets and tools that facilitate migrating VMWare and Virtualized environments to cloud platforms
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of industry experience as an Virtualization Specialist
- 3+ years in VM infrastructure modernization / implementation and hybrid cloud
- Hands-on experience of OpenStack, RHEL administration, RHV or CloudVM
- Experience in application Integration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, service mesh, cloud infrastructure, network, security and operation architecture
- Deep hands-on experience in containerization of applications leveraging Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Experience working in a highly available, multi-datacentre environment.
- Ability to deploy OpenShift Container Platform 4
- Ability to perform day-to-day maintenance of OpenShift Container Platform environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and pinpoint root causes.
- Ability to deploy Operators and applications.
- Understanding of OCP upgrade processes.
- Understanding of Red Hat Compliance Operator and CIS policies.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Deep hands-on experience DevSecOps
- DevSecOps and GitOps (Cloud native Jenkins/Jenkins X, Argo CD, Tekton as examples.)
- Team player and team leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills
- Istio / OpenShift Service Mesh
- Hands on experience with the below:
- Enterprise Linux Platforms, Red Hat, OEL, SUSE, Ubuntu LTS
- Kiali, Prometheus, ArgoCD, Grafana, Jaegar, Nginx, Gradle, Struts
- OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, SAML, SSL / TLS, Liquid, Flyway, EDB PostgreSQL
