IT Application Analyst required for a leading company in the energy industry based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. This person will be part of a fast-moving, collaborative and team orientated environment. The culture is driven by performance, knowledge and continual development.

The working culture will be on site in their office in Belfast.

Responsibilities:

• Support, maintenance and development of a range of applications
• Develop tools, processes and procedures to enhance system reliability while performing analysis of business user requirements, protocols, procedures and problems to automate or enhance application functionality.
• Work with external support partners and support the real-time troubleshooting of incidents
• Prioritise and track numerous incidents
• Participate in Disaster Recovery simulation and contribute to our Business Continuity Management process
• Be an active member of the IT On Call Support Rota

 Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in applications support
• Working knowledge of SQL and an understanding of ITIL and best-practice service delivery methods are desirable.
• Experience of working in a challenging environment with business-critical systems and experience of analysis, testing, design and release.
• Good written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people and good technical report writing capability
• IT degree or equivalent
