My client, a market leader in their area, are seeking a Software Architect to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. You will be assisting them through a period of major transformation, with projects including a migration to AWS. This role will initially be remote, however will require 2 days onsite per fortnight onsite in Dublin once restrictions ease.

Responsibilities:

* Gather a deep understanding of the current technology stack, principles and standards in order to advise on the future technology choices, direction and policies for continuous improvement.
* Lead, support and mentor technical teams through delivery projects, and to encourage an inquisitive development culture
* Provide guidance to shape standards for development and governance

Skills Required:

* 6+ years experience in multiple technology disciplines
* Extensive experience working with Java, Spring Framework and REST Services
* Extensive Software design experience
* Knowledge around Microservices and API design principles
* Knowledge of Web-based, Service-based and Enterprise Application Architecture
* Continuous build/ Integration experience (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* AWS experience
