They have responsibility for the delivery of a wide range of services in their local area with a focus on making cities, towns and the countryside areas attractive places to live, work and invest.

County Council, Wicklow County Council, Leitrim County Council and Waterford City and County Council for the position of Head of Information Systems.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, Directors and Senior Management teams, the Head of Information Systems is a senior position within the Information Communications Technology (ICT) function of the Local Authority. He/she will lead a department which is responsible for the planning, development, control and maintenance of ICT.
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to implement and develop the ICT strategy/vision to support the overall Corporate Plan of the Council and ensure best practice standards and codes of practice, and will have an important role in the management of staff within the departments and will be expected to advise the Senior Management Teams on all ICT issues.
