The Bid manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating the submissions of Pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) submissions and Bid submissions (non-commercial) within the Business. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that every PQQ/Bid submission is completed to the highest possible quality standard, in order to maximise company’s success rates.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the timely planning, coordination and efficient management of the PQQ/Bid submissions (non-commercial).
  • Act as the single point of contact and communication on PQQ/Bid submissions (internal and external).
  • Have a clear understanding and interpretation of the questions and requirements within PQQ/Bid documentation.
  • Liaise with different individuals/teams across the business to obtain the required information.
  • Ensure that answers to all PQQ/Bid submission questions are constructed to the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain and update the library of company standard documentation for submissions; ensure project and employee profiles are updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Undertake ongoing research with regards to best practices.
  • Develop a creative approach to writing and presentation of PQQ/Bid submissions and other relevant documentation and imagery.
  • Assemble PQQ/Bid submissions - collaborate, assemble, review final draft and produce the final package.
  • Consolidate all legal documentation required to complete tender
  • Track cost drivers and consolidate commercial drivers
  • Managing and preparing bids in accordance with company operating procedures, and through managing contractual reviews.
  • Fulfil the Bid Management function by providing central management for bid opportunity responses including bid task assignment, tracking, collating, packaging, ad-hoc queries / request, strategy recommendations.
  • Drafting and reviewing comprehensive proposals for prospective customers. Assure the production of quality customer responses to requirement questions on bids.
  • Review content of bids, pricing sheets and formatting, assuring that all material is responded to, through the review of the response and acting as a back board to the total solution. 
  • Risk Register and Risk Assessment is essential to each bid opportunity


Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, Background in Service Management
  • Experienced in ITIL Essential, Foundation certification minimum
  • Experience with compiling extensive documents essential
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Excellent word & excel skills
  • Some previous client facing experience essential
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience


Education:

  • Desirable third level qualification in IT or Business Systems
  • Some relevant technical qualification/certification desirable not essential
  • Business Certificates desirable not essential


Knowledge Of:

  • Cloud technologies and market
  • Service Desk & Service Management
  • ITIL principles and terminology
  • Infrastructure technology
  • Microsoft Core product stack
