itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Software Engineer. This is a permanent position located with our client in Waterford.
 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:

- Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for company stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for company platforms.
- Assist the teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing company platforms.
- Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support.

- Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.

Requirements:

- 2-4 years of software development experience.
- Undergraduate degree in technology, business, finance, accounting, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of the insurance industry and company framework.
- Ability to develop software in C#, VB.net, Java, or similar languages.
- Intermediate knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database concepts.
- Relevant experience with software engineering tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office.
- Excellent work ethic. Ability to work and travel independently.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Effective troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland or currently hold a Stamp 1G/4 Visa to apply.
