Head of IT Security
We are working with a global Software company to help find their next Head of IT Security. This role will report directly to the board of directors on all security issues. We have been told to look for passionate leaders, with excellent problem-solving skills and high energy!
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for strategic thought leadership around all security initiatives
* Prioritize and recommend security improvements to software, hardware, and policies as part of the global security strategy.
* You will be a 'Trusted Advisor' for Cyber-Security taking the lead on an organisation-wide strategy aimed at protecting the business against new & emerging threats.
* You will also seek to co-ordinate the evaluation, deployment & management of current / future security technologies (utilising a risk-based assessment methodology).
* Collaborate with Software Engineering leaders to ensure developed software is meeting industry best practices and standards
* Develop and maintain a set of all-encompassing Architectural Principles for Information Technology Decision-Making across the business.
* Provide direction on 'Business Process Automation' initiatives across the organisation and make technology recommendations that reduce Business Process inefficiencies.
* Recommend and implement changes in IS and Security policies and practices in accordance with changes in applicable data protection
* Driver audit process to ensure the company are ahead of the curve
Ideal Requirements:
* You will need a proven background in promoting and overseeing strategic security relationships between internal resources and external entities, including IT vendors and partner organizations.
* Multi-disciplinary expertise and experience in domains such as application development, application security, security operations, cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability management, incident management/response, identity and access management, or cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
* Had previous responsibility for helping organisations to secure ISO-27001 and ISO-20000 certification and continued maintenance of same.
* Be able to show a proven Tech Leadership background where you had responsibility for developing, promoting & maintaining organisation-wide Digital ambition initiatives.
* Background in SaaS environment preferred
