Aspira is currently looking for a Business Analyst to join the team for an initial 6 months’ contract with possibility of extension, in the area of Asset Management and Intelligence.

Role
The Senior Management Team have defined a set of objectives for 2021 & 2022 to bring about a risk-based approach to Asset Investment and Operational Efficiency. These are cross functional objectives for Asset Delivery, Asset Management and Asset Operations.
A Business Analyst with experience in working with businesses to help develop reports and dashboards is required to support the creation of functional specifications to support this work.
Responsibilities
- Identify areas for improvement, understand business need, specify requirements and implement recommendations for increasing effectiveness of current processes
- Identify and drive agreement of scope with senior stakeholders
- Perform root cause analysis of problems, conduct workshops and work closely with business users in order to identify and translate their needs into functional requirement specifications
- Assist the business stakeholders in prioritising business requirements and defining new business processes
- Produce detailed, high quality and clear documentation
- Work closely with the IT technical team during the implementation phases to ensure common understanding, agreement and effective implementation of projects. Validate the solution delivered and ensure it is fit for business purpose
- Work closely with the Report Development team during the implementation phases to communicate the desired outcome and effective development of reports. Validate each BI report delivered and ensure they are fit for business purpose
- Communicate in a clear and concise fashion to IT and business stakeholders at all levels during the project lifecycle to gain commitment and minimize the level of resistance to change
- Drive deliverables to completion within challenging timelines ensuring collaboration and effective communication with all stakeholders
- Work effectively with stakeholders located both locally and remotely
- Support UAT during all phases of testing to ensure requirements as detailed in the specification document have been delivered and are ready for release
- Work with IT & Business when new functionality is released to production to ensure a smooth transition to the new process. Where necessary devise detailed cut over plans to address potential operational impacts at cutover
Requirements
- Educated to degree level
- Consulting experience a distinct advantage
- Experience working with stakeholders in a complex organisation or a regulated environment is also desired
- Experience of working in the area of Asset Management with a good knowledge of Asset Management procedures, processes & systems, is preferable
- Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships (both internal and external) with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
