Director, Infrastructure & Engineering

I'm currently working in partnership with a Galway based multinational fin-tech who are searching for a highly experienced Infrastructure Manager to take over responsibility for their datacentres and platform hosting environments.

The role is a mix of management/leadership duties and also some hands on engineering work. But the majority of the position will focus on leadership influence within the business. Working with senior stakeholders and third party vendors on a daily basis whilst also providing technical advice and making key project decisions, especially related to Azure cloud migration work.

You'll be managing a team based across multiple geographical locations and will have to be comfortable in that kind of environment. Ready to manage the individuals as well as mentoring more junior team members and helping to train and bring them up to speed.

It will also be very important that you're comfortably with financial management and contract negotiations with vendors.

Desired Skills:

* 10+ years experience in IT with at least 3 in a senior management level role
* Excellent communication skills and a comfort interacting with senior stakeholders
* Strong problem solving skills
* Experience managing a team split across multiple locations
* Strong technical background with a broad range of Infrastructure knowledge
* Hands on Azure experience
* Windows server, Linux, VMware, AD, Exhange, O365
