We have a vacant position for the role of Team Lead at Senior Consultant or Practitioner band in our Modern Workplace Team.
Band allocation will be determined based on experience evaluated during the selection process.


Fundamentally, this role involves taking line management responsibilities for a team of up to 8 Microsoft Consultants who
specialise in Office 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams or other M365 based intranet in a box type solutions. You will be a
high performing business applications consultant who will be given time to take on additional day to day responsibilities to
manage, build, motivate and mentor a team of consultants and senior consultants in the Modern Workplace Domain.


The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:


Interpersonal
• Be a positive influence in the organisation. Be approachable for your team members and other team members in the
practice and show your passion for the role.
• Meet with your team collectively weekly and provide regular feedback to practice leads in a standard format.
• Ensure your people meet up regularly in person inside or outside the office to foster a shared team culture.
• Conduct performance and salary reviews for your direct reports.
• Managing sick leave and annual leave for team members, acting as a point of contact for team members regarding any
HR queries or issues, and ensuring team members are accurately completing timesheets each week.


Business Focused
• Assisting practice leads in developing weekly team schedules and utilisation forecasts in conjunction with our internal
scheduling team to maintain customer chargeability alongside team development objectives.
• Work with the Practice Lead and other Team Leads in the business applications practice to set vision and strategy for the
team.
• Work with the Practice Lead to realise latent capacity in your team as well as highlighting overstretched staff as early as
possible.
• Be available to lead meetings and discussions with both technical and non-technical customers.
Strategic
• Work with Business Applications practice leads to focus on elements of the Modern Workplace and Power Platform
stack to develop technological based expertise.
• Work with the Practice Lead and Operations Director to identify and implement operational improvements.
• Expand the team by working with our Talent Acquisition team to find and recruit highly driven Business Applications
resources.
• Reviewing project documentation to ensure documentation is of a high standard.
• Ensuring scope is well defined for agreed statements of work to reduce delivery risk, recommending minimally
compliant solutions for fixed price projects where appropriate.




EXPERIENCE


• Candidates may come from either a technical or functional background.
• Experience at consultant or senior consultant level with exposure to the core technologies and methodologies related to
implementing Office 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, On-Premise to Cloud migrations or similar which you feel leaves
you in a strong position to take on the team lead responsibilities identified.
• Some experience managing consultants on customer facing engagements is desirable.
• Able to communicate complex ideas and visions with team members and customers.
