itContracting are currently seeking applications on behalf of our Irish public sector client for a Performance Test Analyst. This is a permanent position based with our client in Dublin City Centre.
Our client is looking to hire a Performance Test Analyst with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in performance testing. You will have experience in developing a performance test strategy, setting up a performance test environment and introducing practices to enhance and improve the overall software development lifecycle. You must have ISTQB Performance Tester certification or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a performance test strategy
- Review functional design specifications
- Create test plans, schedule performance tests and report status to Test Manager
- Implement process improvement for performance testing
- Execute and maintain continuous integration of performance tests and evaluating outcome against expected results
- Set up a performance test environment and introduce practices to enhance and improve the overall software development lifecycle
- Design and script performance tests to cover load, stress, soak testing
- Define and prepare test data and ensure environment ready for performance test run
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in performance testing
- Must have ISTQB Performance Tester certification or equivalent
- Experience carrying out repeatable software performance test scenarios in areas such as:
- Browser based transactions
- Web services (input and output)
- Data setup transactions
- Batch program
- Identify load modules
- Execute performance test criteria
- Document results of testing
- Document testing process
