We are currently recruiting for an experienced Developer to establish a full Python application development environment and team for a multinational Financial environment in Co. Kerry.  

The successful candidate will be working in Python to build front-end web applications, code reviews and project tasks in a collaborative environment. 

Responsibilities  

• Build out a Python environment which follows the SDLC process. 
• Develop front-end web applications in Python using Django. 
• Deploying web applications using Apache Web Server. 
• Architectural and design recommendation. 
• Adhere to  best practices, ensuring minimal maintenance is required. 
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code. 
• Manage testing and bug-fixes. 
• Understand the needs of your customer (internal clients predominantly)
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.  

Requirements  

• Excellent demonstrable experience of Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals using Python. 
• Experience using the Django framework. 
• Experience deploying Python applications into production. 
• Experienced in the use of version control (using Bitbucket preferred) and DevOps processes and tools. 
• Knowledge of front-end coding languages (i.e HTML, CSS, JavaScript). 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Solid database skills in a relational database (e.g. Oracle)
