Senior Network Engineer required for a leading Dublin based investment bank that provides cutting edge investment and capital markets products globally. The Senior Network Engineer will help ensure that the Network is optimized to deliver application traffic effectively. This is a low latency / HA environment where performance management is critical

Responsibilities:

·        Monitoring network alerts relating to performance and capacity issues

·        Analyze network traffic (testing in labs and in production) to understand application flows and impact to Network performance

·        Determine the performance impact of application moves using predictive analysis tools.

·        Increase network availability by proactively identifying potential risks

·        Generate appropriate network performance alarms based on KPIs.

·        Develop new and improved processes around Performance Monitoring for existing and new technologies

Requirements

·        7+ years relevant experience with CCNP / CCIE (or equivalent experience)

·        Strong hands-on experience covering routers, switches, Network and Application protocols, Firewalls, DNS & DHCP services, LAN/WAN etc.

·        Experience using simulation/modeling tools like IT Guru/Ace Analyst

·        Experience performance and stress testing network traffic

·        Expert knowledge in TCP/UDP and network protocol analysis.

·        Wireless skills and VOIP experience is a bonus

Remuneration

·        Starting salary of 80-90K

·        10% bonus

·        8% pension

·        PHI
