Product Owner - Daily Rate Contract, Technology Company

My client is a well respected tech company in Dublin is looking for a Product Owner on a daily rate contract basis.

The successful candidate will be involved in working with my clients customer's development projects. The initial project has already started but requires a PO.

It is for a Greentech / sustainability project. Their client is a start-up, ran by a successful entrepreneur who is looking to create a platform to assess and manage sustainability in large enterprises.

My client are looking for a PO to help manage the requirements and prioritisation of work. This role would be dealing directly with the customer a lot so communication skills would need to be strong and experience of being a PO on a development project would be important.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders

· Understand and articulate the Product Vision

· Analyse business processes

· Act as the primary point of contact within the company for the external client

· Challenge stakeholder requirements and vision to understand what the stakeholder really needs

· Define, describe and validate requirements through User Stories

· Prioritize the backlog together with the stakeholders and development team.

· Work as an integral part of the development team to ensure the right product is built

· Participate and facilitate scrum events including the sprint demo, backlog refinement and sprint retro

· Assist with End to End product testing

Skills and Experience Required:

· Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role.

· Prior experience with Scrum

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills, particularly managing stakeholders expectations.

· Ability to empathise with end users, understanding their challenges, needs & use cases.

· Ability think strategically

· Sound commercial understanding and experience of balancing user and business needs

· Knowledge of entire software development lifecycle

· Experience with mobile apps desirable
