Head of Engineering (FinTech Start-Up)

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a start-up with huge growth potential at an early stage and be able to shape the technical department as they build out over the next 12 months.

The successful candidate will manage departments across a couple of geographical locations with the key engineering hires being based here in Ireland. You'll need to come from a full-stack software engineering background and whilst this role won't be hands on, you'll still need to be close enough to the code to have technical conversations with the team and point the engineers in the right direction if issues arise.

The most crucial aspect of this role will be the ability to make crucial decisions and stand by them. You'll also need to be able to make these decisions quickly and competently under pressure situations in a mission critical environment. You don't necessarily need to come from a FinTech background, but you'll need to have an understanding of how downtime can cost money and how crucial it is to stay always available.

Experience previously building out a start-up toward a successful acquisition would be a huge plus!
