Software Development Manager, Dublin
I'm looking for number of strong Software Development Managers to take charge and drive forward the Development department of one of our core clients following a restructure.
This client are preparing for a big boom in the industry they operate within and so, there's a lot to do - this is a meaty role! You'll be working with an established team in an established company and helping to reshape the department as we undergo a digital upgrade and complete redesign of the core products. We expect you to play a pivotal and vocal role moving forward, we will look to you for your opinion and direction throughout the entire SDLC and there will be plenty of room for you to make changes and influence within.
We're hoping you bring to the table a wealth of management and technical leadership experience, a technical background and ability to stuck into things with the tech team when required (you won't have to code, but you might have to review some code), and a true passion and enthusiasm for what you do! My client have a great culture which contributes to their high tenure and you'll be a core part of it's promotion.
Requirements:
* Experience leading/managing multi-disciplinary software teams
* Experience leading/managing offshore teams
* Experience leading/managing multiple teams at once
* Technical development background, ideally you will have rose through the ranks as a developer
* Experience building software teams including recruitment tasks
* Experience working in and promoting an agile methodology
* Experience with development people/teams to promote retention
* Ability to work in a heterogeneous technical environment with a multitude of tech, C#, .Net, PHP, NodeJS, GCP, JavaScript, iOS etc. Ideally you will have experience with C# .Net or NodeJS either hands on or from a management perspective
* Great communication, time management and team working skills
