Lead Software Engineer - Java

Dublin or Fully Remote

Up to €90K p/a + Bonus, Pension, Healthcare etc

We're hiring a Lead Software Engineer for an industry leader, they're based in Dublin but happy for anyone who is wanting to work fully remotely.. even from elsewhere in Europe.

You'll work on a real-time diagnostics product, we need someone who can take a critical look at the team (8 people on this team, 40 people overall in tech) and work with the engineering manager to make them more effective and self-sufficient. You'll be an engineer first and foremost, a strong backend coder with skills in Java, Spring Boot - a solid AWS background would be nice to have. The role has scope to move into a more managerial type role if it's something you're keen on.

We can vouch for the company from our previous work with them, nice culture and a very low turnover of staff.

Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Scala

The candidate we're looking for…

* 8+ years' Java Development experience.
* Spring experience.
* Experience building server-side applications and systems at scale.
* AWS experience would be beneficial.
* Containers experience would be a plus (Kubernetes, Docker).
* Experienced delivering software/applications from start-finish.
* Ability to understand and contribute to architectural discussions.
