Software Architect

A position has arisen for a Software Architect in the R&D Department of a successful Galway based company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Investigation into new technologies which can be used to create new innovative products
Meeting with customers and understanding their needs in order to contribute to next generation systems
Optimization of Video pipeline Architecture to ensure usability and portability
R&D of a pipeline structure to for integration of scene analysis and scene viewing applications
Algorithmic Resources Calculations
Produce Systems Architecture documentation
Participate in project teams and report on System Development activities

Requirements
Degree in Software or Electronic Engineering. A Masters or PhD qualification is an advantage
System Design Experience
Knowledge of C/C development
Experience with microprocessors and graphic processors
Knowledge of system modelling
