Mid – Level Java developer required developer to work on the development of an MVP wealth management product on top of the core personal finance platform (a Java based solution).
The Role:
• Part of a team delivering a prototype & MVP of a new wealth management platform to market
• Contributing to server-side design choices and technology evolution
• Pro-active about code & product quality incl. DevOps initiatives
• Expected to collaborate closely with the front-end development team
Requirements for this role:
• A third level computer science qualification – 2.1 degree or higher
• 2+ years professional experience as a software engineer
• A strong background in Java
• Proven experience working in a REST architecture environment (using and defining RESTful APIs)
• Exposure to standard relational database technologies (e.g. MySQL) or non-relational database technologies (eg. MongoDB)
• Knowledge of continuous integration (eg. Hudson, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, SonarQube) & experience with DevOps generally
This is an initial 6 month day rate contract.
