Junior and Mid-Level Engineers

With strong backing from the parent company, our international client is looking to grow their Bitcoin and Blockchain division in Belfast. As such, they are now seeking a number of Junior and Mid-Level Engineers with varying levels of experience to join their team.

As a Junior / Mid-Level Engineer, you will be part of the company’s new engineering function and will take part in a range of interesting and challenging projects.

Working at the core of Blockchain based solutions and integration services, you will enable the transformation of companies within the group. You will operate within a small agile team creating solutions for individual businesses as well as common platforms used across the organisation.

You’ll be working with new and emerging technologies, taking on new challenges, rolling your sleeves up and getting your hands dirty. Every member of your team will bring their own specialism and so you won’t be expected to be an expert in everything but you will need to be able to contribute to the team skills base.

To be considered, you must have:

- Experience of Java or Node.js on a Linux platform (other OO or functional languages such as .NET Python or Ruby will also be considered)
- Experience of REST APIs and micro-service based architectures
- Experience of application containers such as Docker and container orchestration (Fleet, Docker Swarm, RancherOS or Kubernetes)
- Experience of delivering cloud based systems (i.e. deploying and running AWS, Azure, OpenStack or Google Compute Environment)
- Familiarity with DevOps, including source code management, continuous integration, build automation and deployment and release pipelines
- An awareness of Blockchain and/or Bitcoin

Collaborative and eager to learn new things, as a Junior / Mid-Level Engineer, you’ll need experience of solving real world problems and the ability to articulate how you achieved this. You’ll also need to be flexible enough to work with colleagues in different time zones.
