Galway - Network Operations Engineer

Job Role

My client is currently looking to build on their existing networking team with the addition of an experienced Network Operations Engineer. You will be working within an established global leader that provides communication solutions to businesses.

Main Tasks

* Troubleshooting and diagnosing network problems associated with routing, switching and security.
* Provide network planning, modelling and analysis.
* Installation/management of routers and switches.
* Prepare reports and constantly analysing for issues within infrastructure.
* Some international travel may be required.

Main Skills:

* At least 5 years experience working within networking & network security.
* Experience using both Cisco & Juniper equipment (setup, configuration & mantainence).
* At least 3 years experience working within a Linux and Shell scripting environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills on all hardware devices.
* Understanding of telco protocols and technologies.
* Some experience using Active Directory is a plus.
