The Job

Spector are seeking an energetic Junior Network Engineer who is looking to make the next step in their IT career. Full-time Permanent Position

Duties and Responsibilities

The following are the daily duties and responsibilities expected for this role.  

·         Oversee tickets in queue for custom sites and ensure tickets are managed to meet SLA’s.

·         Responding to Service calls onsite for multiple Dublin based clients.

·         Installation and upkeep of various networking equipment.

·         Resolution of issues and problems as they occur.

·         Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of Spector products and services.

·         Report to clients and attend weekly, monthly and quarterly service reviews.

·         Maintain accurate documentation of client setups.

·         Maintain customer service, perception, and satisfaction.

·         Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.

·         Other Ad-hoc duties as required.

 

Personal Traits

To perform this job successfully, an individual really needs to possess the following personal traits:

·         Excellent communication skills. Most of the job is dealing with people at different levels of organisations and clear communication is essential – both verbal and written.

·         Self-starting, self-motivating and seeks out improvement opportunities for clients.

·         Ability to review and prioritise work effectively.

·         Ability to learn quickly – we provide a training programme that requires self paced learning. This is a key component in the job and your ability to progress your career quickly.

·         Exceptional customer service and client relationship management.

·         Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.

·         Full clean driving license with own transport.

 

Technical:

Experience with some of the below would be beneficial

·         Windows server environments

·         Windows desktop environment

·         Virtualisation

·         Networking

·         Firewall

·         Switching

·         VoIP

·         Office 365

 

 

Education & Qualifications:

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar field

·         3rd Level Diploma/Degree would be beneficial.

·         Proven track record of learning with industry led certifications (at least one of the following is a requirement - any of the following CCNA, Comptia + or MCITP, MCSA.
