Infrastructure Engineer
The Role
As an INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER at Computer Technical Services you will join an innovative and technically challenging area supporting our client’s sites. We will provide you with training and support to equip you with the skills to make a real difference to the success of the company and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure effective on-going support for all ICT Infrastructure systems in use by our clients, ensuring that the service provided to users is the highest possible within the resources available
Develop system specifications, technical implementation plans and coordinate installation projects

Manage day to day issues with suppliers to ensure efficient support and value for money is provided, escalating issues as appropriate.
Provide input into ICT projects and the preparation process for services from third party suppliers.
Will be responsible for performing, planning and managing changes to network while adhering to strict change control processes.
Effectively communicate complex technical issues with sensitivity to diverse audiences
Document standards and operating procedures, and act as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users
Consult on technical issues, identifies and escalates risks and issues
Contribute to process improvement approach
Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development
Work as part of a team across time zones
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
· Excellent knowledge and Certification of Microsoft and VMWare
· Third level IT related degree
· Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar job.
· Implementation and operational support of network environments
· Expertise required: CISCO OR HP networking (Certified to CCNA or similar)
· Communicate and present effectively at various levels.
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies
