Senior Systems Administrator
Role
Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, and the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex 24/7 IT Environment. Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems, system applications, Virtualization, storage, backups and network. Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops system specifications. Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department. Perform full supervision of Operations staff.
Qualifications required:
Microsoft MCITP/MCSE qualified
VMware Certified Professional
Knowledge and Experience Required
Proven track record in delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Proven track record liaising with 3rd party Vendors.
5+ years Windows Infrastructure experience (Windows Server 2008 R2/2008/2003 and Windows 7/XP)
5+ years supporting an Active Directory / Exchange 2010\2007\2003 infrastructure
Vmware ESX 5 knowledge essential
Experience in supporting switches, Firewalls and routers
System Centre 2012 experience an advantage
VDI knowledge an advantage
Works with all external ICT vendors and to resolve technical problems
