Embedded Algorithm Developer Our client, a large multinational based in Galway are looking for a Embedded Algorithm Developer. Key Responsibilities: � Develop and adapt Environment Map & Sensor Fusion algorithms on embedded platforms with associated CPU and memory bandwidth limitations � Optimise algorithms to meet runtime and memory usage requirements, improve KPI’s and ensure reusability and portability across various platforms � Perform PC-based algorithm development as required � Complete scheduled tasks within assigned projects to deliver software development output to the project team as per agreed timing plan � Contribute to routine software design reviews, peer code reviews, problem resolution and software test activities � Comply with company Software Quality processes, ISO15504 and contribute to Process Improvement activities as required � Perform research into new Map & Fusion technology, ideas, approaches, etc. to ensure the organisation remains abreast of all leading edge/emerging Map & Fusion Technologies � Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation and IP through the patent process Education Requirements; � Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics or equivalent � Masters or PhD level qualification would be an advantage Professional Experience; Required: � Fundamentals in statistical approaches of signal processing (Kalman Filter / Bayesian estimation / Particle Filter) � Good knowledge of object-oriented software development using C/ C++ � Knowledge of embedded systems and micro controllers � Knowledge of software development cycles Desirable: � Experience in Robotics, Machine Learning, Ultrasonics, Radar or Computer Vision � Knowledge of Doors and Enterprise architect � Knowledge of communication buses (CAN, Ethernet) � Knowledge of script languages (Python, Perl) � Knowledge of decentralized versioning System (Git or Mercurial) � Knowledge of Qt framework � Automotive experience
