GMC Inspire Document support Co-ordinator

Role Summary/Overall Responsibility
Our client, an international finance and insurance leader are undertaking an exciting project to transform the way in which they communicate with their customers. Over the next 12-18 months they will be implementing a completely new solution to enable communication in a simple, meaningful and personal way with customers via print or digital channels
This role will form part of a large project team implementing a strategically important customer communications management platform within our client.
Role
Initially as part of a project team you will, work with the business and IT teams to create document design templates to support the migration of all Client documentation to the GMC inspired platform
In addition, you will be expected to develop the ability to support templates and workflows as they are deployed into production, taking on an applications support role as the application matures into production
This position will require a unique blending of technical, business analysis and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be required to build their knowledge and expertise around document technology and client business processes.
Formal training will be provided
It is envisaged that the role will be predominantly project based for the initial 4-6 with the candidate moving to an operational support role on project completion
Primary Responsibilities
Develop detailed design specifications for documents – both ad-hoc and as part of the initial project
Build basic new templates to specification
Liaise with the business to understand and clarify business requirements regarding template changes/enhancements.
As knowledge grows suggest new and innovative ways to leverage existing templates and exploit the application to deliver business benefits.
Act as initial support contact for the business working within an applications support team
Support user acceptance testing to ensure successful document implementations.
Scopes small to medium sized Feature Enhancements according to agreed upon budgets and schedules.
Daily application monitoring and support - review batch jobs success/failure.
Incident triage – escalation and management of incidents related to the GMC document management platform with internal and external support teams
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or a related discipline
2 + years experience in an application configuration management/document management platforms
Business analysis skillset – ability to translate business requirements into design specifications and liaise with document developers to build test and deploy
Experience of document migration a plus
Knowledge of Document Composition/Forms Design a distinct advantage
Experience working in large projects with deadlines and differing dependencies.
Basic Scripting, Relational Databases, VB or C# Programming experience a plus.
Comfortable working with data files and feeds – CSV, excel etc
Strong demonstrable working experience of web/design and documents layout
Appreciation of and ability to work within a strongly governed Change Management processes.

High level of analytical ability required to identify user requirements and high level creativity required to present effective solutions.
Strong oral and written communication skills - with both technical and non-technical people
A high level of problem-solving and analytical skills is critical to success
Must be flexible, able to work independently and in a team environment with little supervision.
Excellent communications skills – written & verbal
Ability and desire to provide root cause analysis
Technically proficient Strong working knowledge of Incident/Request & Problem Management, also Change Management processes.
