Summary
You will be responsible to provide test execution and support of test activities across Financial Operations (Fund Administration, Technical Reporting, Investment Accounting) IT landscape and process. This will include:

• Primary role will be to test financial applications through the use of procedures to develop, apply and maintain quality standards
• Responsibility for documenting test artefacts with Third Party Administrators and internal / external entities.
• Management of daily test activities and any issues that may arise.
• Scheduling and provision of weekly updates including stats regarding test progress versus plan to project sponsors, IT leads
• Managing test & business resources for System Testing, Integration Testing and UAT

Accountabilities
• Understand the purpose and requirements of system developments & apply suitable test strategy.
• Translate Business Requirements, Functional Specifications and all project related documentation into the creation of appropriate test plans.
• Develop test coverage from business requirements and functional specifications for new business systems
• Test preparation – produce test scenarios, cases, scripts and other relevant documentation
• Track and manage test execution with business users & 3rd party vendors.
• Identify, analyse, report, track and take ownership of issues and defects through to resolution.
• Apply risk based test criteria to the delivery
• Accurately track test deliverables and provide visibility via MI and reporting.
• Track and manage test risks and issues for the project.
• Ensure sufficient testing and evidencing takes place to satisfy stakeholders.
• Liaise with and support third party test managers for each test phase of the delivery.
• Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs for critical testing phases of the project.
• Highlight any potential issues with testing at appropriate times if test delivery is at risk.
• Support quality assurance reviews on all deliverables and associated documentation
• Liaise with IT partners to ensure all testing requirements are met

Essential Experience, Skills and Competencies
Candidate must be an experienced Test Analyst with five years relevant experience. This must be within a Financial Services environment and ideally with experience of XML and Fund Administration. The candidate should also possess the following skills and experience and be able to demonstrate/substantiate them at interview:

• Experience with Systems Testing, Integration Testing and UAT.
• Previous experience to file integration & XML
• Detailed experience and knowledge of Issue Management.
• Producing, reviewing and evaluating key testing documents including test coverage, test cases etc.
• Experience with test evidencing
• Relationship management – internal colleagues, 3rd parties, suppliers / vendor management.
• Excellent all round communication / interpersonal skills
• Decisive and influential at all levels
• Ability to work under pressure
• Delivery focused
• Proactive and motivated
• Advanced user of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel

ADVANTAGEOUS
• Building complex SQL queries
• Visual Basic for Applications (VBA ) (Excel, Access)
• Fund Administration / Technical Accounting Experience
• Knowledge of Annuities / Life and Pensions, Investment and Insurance products
• Experience testing Unit linked Financial Products
• Experience with Back Office Policy Administration platforms and integration of systems / processes within a Life and Pensions environment
• ISEB Practitioner in Software Testing
