Our client is an IT services company, focusing on Microsoft, HP and virtualisation projects. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join their team.

In this challenging position, you’ll have the chance to enhance your existing technical skill-set within a fast-moving and vibrant team. What’s more, for the right candidate, there may also be the chance to progress into a Senior Network Engineer position within the business.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and upgrading a wide range of IT equipment at customer sites throughout Ireland, as well as providing remote support. You will primarily operate through Leinster and Dublin city centre.

Working within a talented team of Field Service Engineers, you’ll install and troubleshoot a variety of equipment, including servers, desktops, laptops and printers. You’ll install and support IP phone systems in a timely manner and maintain clear and accurate documentation for all work completed.

Responding to any incoming calls via the helpdesk, you’ll assist with customer queries and strive to remotely resolve any issues as efficiently as possible, whilst delivering a high standard of service.

Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have:

- At least three years’ experience in a field service role
- Experience of supporting MS operating systems and applications
- Experience of supporting MS Server systems, Active Directory, backup solutions and firewalls
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- English written and verbal communication skills

As a Field Service Engineer, you must have excellent communication, organisation and problem solving skills, as well as a proactive and highly motivated approach.

Experience of Sonicwall, Dell and HP servers and desktops would be beneficial to your application.
