HiberniaEvros on behalf our of our client in Northern Ireland are seeking applications for Oracle Developers to work in an Applications Development team. Our Client is a Global player with possible international oppportunities in the long term.
Your Responsibilities will inlcude:
Responsibility for the design, development and maintenance of custom solutions within the company ensuring that the technical design of delivered solutions matches the defined software architecture and also ensuring the functional requirements in terms of usability, efficiency, reliability, availability, security and scalability are met.
The post holder will:
* Provide a technical resource on development and maintenance projects
* Design and deliver solutions in accordance with the defined Technical Architecture
* Review designs and software developed within team to ensure it is in accordance with the defined Technical Architecture
* Ensure delivered solutions are able to scale to the agreed user concurrency and maintain high availability
* Liaise with infrastructure and data support services ensuring network, security and database integrity for all software systems developed by Software Development
* Provide technical assistance on projects to peers and junior staff
* Assist in the establishment of and follow design standards, design patterns and best practices
* Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solutions
* Assist in the production of estimates for work ensuring estimates are realistic and achievable
* Take full ownership of all assigned tasks ensuring objectives are met
* Meet expected standards such as accuracy, thoroughness and correctness in all assigned work
* Provide documentation for all appropriate levels of the software development life cycle
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will have a Third level qualification in Computer Science or related subject. He/She will have previous software development experience developing Oracle forms, experience of Oracle forms developer, JDeveloper and Reports Developer and experience of SQL.
Successful applicants will have the Ability to apply and understand test-driven development, experience in the full Software Development Lifecycle as well as both new and maintenance projects.
