You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and debugging Big Data Software Systems. Implementing analytics on Big Data and building innovative, next generation web interfaces on Big Data platforms. With ownership of specific modules within an application you will be the SME and manage the complexities across the SDLC.

My client is looking to recruit the best and wants a person who has the passion to embrace a challenge. To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to be highly technical and have very strong coding skills using Java / Python built up over a minimum of 4 years experience. Technically you will need to be an expert with the Hadoop platform (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark etc), Web Development skills using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JQuery, experience with Backbone JS, Require JS, Node JS, Knockout JS is advantageous. You will of course need to be able to write concise design documents and have previous experience with Big Data, Machine Learning and Data Structures. You will be working in an Agile/SCRUM environment so previous experience is preferred along with a degree in relevant subjects such as Science / IT / Computing.
